Welcome to my website! I am Drake Stafford, a 26-year-old audio engineer & music producer from Canada with a passion for creating dynamic and energetic music. I've been on this musical journey for over a decade, and it all started with a set of headphones and a burning love for music.

Growing up, music was my constant companion. Whether it was bus rides to school or long car drives, I always had my headphones on. Eminem and popular hip-hop were my early influences, but everything changed when I discovered electronic music in high school. The first time I saw deadmau5 perform live on TV, I was spellbound. The energy, the beats, the soundscape - it was unlike anything I had ever heard. That experience was a pivotal moment in my life. It not only sparked my love for electronic music but also inspired me to become a DJ.

Seeing my interest in DJing, my parents and teachers encouraged me to explore it further. I attended a workshop at Noize Faktory in Toronto where I learned the ropes of DJing and was introduced to Ableton Live. This opened a whole new world for me. I fell in love with music production and spent countless hours honing my skills, with a dream to create music as good as the artists I admired.

After high school, I decided to fully commit to my passion for music and enrolled in the Professional Sound Diploma program at Metalworks Institute. I dove deep into live sound, studio sound, mixing, mastering, and everything in between. After four intense years of learning and growing, I graduated at the top of my class.

Since then, I've been pouring my heart and soul into creating music that embodies a unique blend of genres. Drawing on my diverse musical influences, I craft a sound that defies traditional boundaries - a fusion of energizing bass trap music with the serene and sometimes dark undertones of ambient synth wave and chillstep. Yet, my music refuses to be boxed into any one genre. Whether it's the rhythmic cadences of chill or energetic house, the gritty beats of boom bap hip-hop, the ethereal echoes of future garage and drum and bass, the emotive strains of soul, or the experimental textures of IDM, soundscapes, and drones - every track I create is a testament to my love for the vast tapestry of sound that music offers. With every new release, I strive to showcase my growth as an artist and share my experiences with my listeners through thoughtfully written melodies, catchy basslines, and meticulously crafted soundscapes.
